Complete Pregnancy Fitness by Erin O'Brien. Although I've never watched Desperate Housewives, O'Brien's husband plays the 'hunk' in this and there's a section of the DVD where they do a couple's workout. I quite fancied subjecting my boyfriends to this humili - sorry - bonding experience.
The DVD begins with a 40 minute workout you do on your own and I really enjoyed this. I felt it was safe enough to do at 6 months pregnant but strenuous and challenging at the same time with a long warm up followed by a dynamic movement series of toning exercises. There's some slightly odd jazzed up nursery rhyme music but both the tunes and Erin's presenting style were very easy to digest. She has a good sense of humour which comes across well and she manages to be encouraging without being irritating.
The 20 minute partner workout that follows was great fun for us to do together and my boyfriend was more than happy to help when it transpired that I would be doing all the work whilst he offeried some weight resistance.
The set includes a second DVD which features a post natal workout, which I'll definitely be doing after the baby is born.
I would only recommend this DVD if you've been a fit and active person pre pregnancy as it's quite tough and does get your heart rate going. Unfortunately since being pregnant I find the hardest thing about exercise is beginning to exercise!
